Why I Use Linux: Reason #418

Because it is 2011, Microsoft has released Windows 7, and users of their flagship operating system still have to use a tiny non-resizable 33.5-character wide window to type environment variables:

  1. Next thing you are going to ask for a Terminal Emulator that that has a feature set more recent than DOS 4.0 (Not including command line completion.)

I also enjoy the OS Value. Just think if you wanted to identify the OS you certainly can't do it through the environment variable OS.

Just remember Microsoft's Motto: "Yesterdays innovations today."
Though while googling for where I got that one from I found this one that is also awesome:
The Microsoft Motto: "We're the leaders, wait for us!"

This edit text box is almost as bad a Windows Terminal Emulator. Its width expands but only into its frame and then another scroll bar appears. At least in Chrome.

  2. The last comment was me by the way. We will see if my username shows up this time. I spent too much of the day messing with license keys and VB scripts to manage license keys. KMS is miserable.

    That is funny!!

The edit box is kinda annoying because it is pretty minimal. Strangely though, its width did not change for me under Chrome. I am typing this unnecessarily long sentence while using Chrome just to check if it would expand but it does seem to be. I am using Chromium 14.0.835.202.

Using VB in 2011 is just a big shame. Sorry to hear that you have to deal with it.
